Note: Smaller class sizes may result in the student taking the blended theory in our computer lab with the instructor present to monitor and assist the student. Practical components will be taught in-person with the guidance and supervision of the instructor.

The practical portion includes demonstrating the ability to safely
maneuver the excavator through a series of obstacles and use the attachment.
Skilled Operator: has at least 100 hours of recent experience operating an excavator.
The skilled operator will demonstrate their ability to operate the excavator safely and efficiently through a series of driving and operating exercises. Practical assessments take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Skilled operators may complete certification on multiple pieces of equipment on the same day through our Powered Mobile Equipment Program.
New Operator: does not have over 100 hours of recent experience operating an excavator. This course is intended for those needing the training required to meet the basic and knowledge to operate an excavator safely.
They will gain about 2-3 hours of operating experience on the equipment; demonstrating their ability to operate it safely and efficiently through a series of driving and operating exercises.
